Phyllis J. Schutzman, 90,
of Toddville, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Northbrook ManorCare. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home. Burial at Dunkard Cemetery, Midway.
Phyllis was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Ada (Volesky) Langer. She attended high school in Ely. After high school, she co-owned and worked at Midway Farmers Market in Toddville. Phyllis was joined in marriage to Ivan Earl Schutzman on Aug. 10, 1949, in Nashua. She enjoyed needle point and embroidery, gardens and flowers. Phyllis was a die-hard Cubs fan.
She will be missed by many, and she always went the extra mile to help everyone in the grocery store.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Scott) Naylor of Center Point; son, Rod (Joanie) Schutzman of Marion; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan; and sister Betty Moses.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
