Phyllis G. Jensen, 92, died peacefully Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Solon Care Center, surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 24, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with the Rev. Rebecca Carver officiating. Graveside committal will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Riverview Cemetery in Algona.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Phyllis was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Fort Dodge. On Dec. 7, 1957, Phyllis married Duane Jensen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Phyllis moved to Iowa City in 2008 and was a resident at Melrose Meadows.
Survivors include her four children, Gregory (Darlene) Hatch of Panama City Beach, Fla., Kathleen (James) Kikendall of Iowa City, Christine (Luther) Fairbanks of Indianola and Carol (Philip) Rosenbaum of Edina, Minn.; three grandchildren, Anne (Tracy) Sudbrock and Sam and Alexa Rosenbaum; great- grandchildren, Trey and Abigail Sudbrock; and great- great-grandchild, Kaden Sudbrock.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane, in 2008; and two grandsons, Justin and Travis Fairbanks.
