Phillips, Russell T.
Russell T. Phillips, 92, of Iowa City, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at Briarwood Health Care Center. Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
Russell was born on April 17, 1921, in Seymour, Iowa, the son of Roscoe and Laura Ethel (Tharp) Phillips.
He is survived by his children, Craig Phillips (Jude) of South Bend, Ind., Carla Bittner of Des Moines, Michael Phillips (Vicki) of Plainview, Texas, and David Phillips (Lori) of Iowa City; grandchildren, Courtney Patterson, Stacey Ehle, Kyle Phillips and Jessica Beck; and great-grandchildren, Elsie Jean Beck, Caitlin, Hailey and Alex Patterson.
His wife, Jean; his parents; brother, Corwin; and a son-in-law, Richard Bittner, preceded him in death.
