Phillips, Robert 'Bob' A.
Robert “Bob” A. Phillips, 79, of Lone Lake, Miss., passed away Aug. 16, 2011, in Memphis, Tenn. Services will be held Aug. 20 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122.
Bob was the son of Gerald and Thelma (Hahn) Phillips and was born in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 31, 1932. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1950 and played football at the University of Iowa under Forest Evacheski. Following graduation he entered the Air Force and was a member of the Strategic Air Command. Bob was united in marriage with Ardis Noonan. They divorced. He then married Bernice Leudke.
Bob is survived by his wife, Bernice; four children, Loreen Vaughn, Kathleen DeMilt, Kelly Phillips and Lynn Phillips; and a sister, Kay J. Hanson of Memphis, Tenn.
