Philip Andrew Graham, 52, of Cedar Rapids, died July 1, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids from ALS. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at River of Life Ministries by Tim Ferry. Friends may visit with the family from 3 p.m. until the start of the service. Teahen Funeral Home will be serving the family.
Philip is survived by his wife, Regina; son, Ryan; siblings, Michael Graham of Cincinnati, Jeff Graham of Marion, Steve (Ali) Graham, Laurie (Marty) Valentine, David (Diane) Graham, all of Cedar Rapids, and Tammara (Stephen) Michalec of Middle Amana; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Ann.
Philip was born July 26, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Donald and Mary Ann Mochal Graham. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1981 and Grinnell College in 1985, where he received a degree in political science. Philip served as a math teacher with the Peace Corps in Kenya from 1985 to 1987. He married Regina Batista on April 20, 2002, in Cedar Rapids. Philip worked for the United States government as a community development specialist, retiring in 2011.
Philip enjoyed reading, listening to music, biking and doing volunteer work. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially Regina and Ryan.
