Phelps, Charles William

Charles William Phelps, 74, of Black Canyon City, Ariz., formerly of Urbana, died June 22, 2013, at the VA Health Care System in Tucson, Ariz. Celebration of Life memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Urbana. All friends and family are invited to attend.

Surviving are his children, Charles William Phelps II, Barbara Jean (Phelps) Scalia and Steven William Phelps. He is survived by a large and loving family and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

He loved to fish and hunt. He was happiest outdoors. He loved to travel and some of his favorite trips included Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, Oregon, Canada and Mexico.
