Pettit, Linda L.
Linda L. Pettit, 66, a resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehab, died there Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Randy and his fiancee, Keely; her mother, Marian Alexander; a sister, Betty (Dorsey) Bents; a brother, Kurt (Sheryl) Alexander, and a brother-in–law, John Beck, all of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by her longtime companion, John Brundridge; two grandchildren, Hailei and Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Larry Alexander.
Linda was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Waukon, the daughter of Francis and Marian Pottratz Pettit. She worked in assembly at Options of Linn County for many years.
Linda was an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, dancing and visiting with family and friends.
Linda was a wonderful daughter, mother and sister whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial fund has been established.
