Petra Lyne Levy, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Services: noon Saturday, Feb. 11, at Gospel Tabernacle Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Perisa Levy; father, Sherman Hopkins Sr; and her siblings, Janese Hopkins, Sherman Hopkins Jr., Sabra Hopkins and Nena Adams.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanetta Hopkins.
Petra was born Dec. 19, 1967, daughter of Sherman and Jeanetta Hopkins in Sterling, Ill. She was a graduate from Washington High School and Kirkwood Community College. Petra worked at Whirlpool for 29 years.
Petra enjoyed shopping and spending time with her friends and family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughter, Perisa. Petra was one of a kind and had a heart of gold.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Petra.
