Petesch, Hilda C.
Hilda C. Petesch, 85, formerly of Dubuque, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 in St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Dubuque. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Behr's Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m.
Survivors include a son, David F. (Shelley) Petesch of Savannah, Ga.; a daughter, Joan M. (Donald) Rundle of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Lisa and Michael Petesch and Logan, Lucas and Emily Rundle; a brother, Frank Behnke of Dubuque; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; one sister; six brothers; and a sister-in-law.
Hilda was born on Oct. 12, 1924, in Dubuque County, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Majerus) Behnke. She married Kenneth F. Petesch on April 15, 1944, at Holy Ghost Church in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2003.
Hilda was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Hilda's greatest joy was to be with her children and grandchildren.
