Peterson, Carolyn E. 'Lynn'

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Carolyn E. “Lynn” Peterson, 78, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with the Rev. Mike Christianson officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Calvary Cemetery, Prairie du Chien. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Norwood, Mass., the daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Peden) Anderson. She was married to Ira Rose on May 4, 1957, and they later divorced. She was then married to William Carson on May 11, 1974, and they later divorced. She married James Peterson on April 30, 1979, in Reno, Nev. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2006.

She worked as a clerk for a trucking company and in the motel business. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, the Does and was an active member of the Eagles Club Auxiliary in Prairie du Chien.

She is survived by a son, Keith Rose of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters, Patricia Bowden of Sacramento and Kathleen Rose of Caldwell, Idaho; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
