Petersen, Frederick F.
Frederick F. Petersen, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Barb of Cedar Rapids; three children, Kevin (Becky) Petersen of Clarksville, Tenn., Randy (Adrienne) Petersen of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Becky Beck of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Ron, Jessica, Olivette and Caroline; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Onderbeke.
Also surviving are two sisters, Nancy (Vern) Cook and Karen York; and a brother, Robert (Denise) Petersen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Frederick was born Dec. 13, 1936, the son of Frederick F. and Cora (Delouch) Petersen, in Rock Island, Ill. On Aug. 25, 1962, he married Barbara J. Onderbeke in Rock Island. Fred worked for J.I. Case Co. in Bettendorf and Terex in Cedar Rapids.
