Peter Vasquez, 57, of Cedar Rapids passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A gathering will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., with sharing of memories beginning at 3 p.m., on Saturday, June 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Peter Sylvian Vasquez was born Nov. 23, 1959, to Francis and Rose Mueller Vasquez in Kansas City, Mo.
He is survived by his parents, Francis and Rose of Missoula, Mont.; a daughter, Melissa (Alex) Bailey of Stevensville, Mont.; granddaughter, Agnesse Rose Bailey; siblings, Ned Vasquez and Anita Vasquez, both of Missoula, Frank (Mary) Vasquez Jr. of Vienna, Va., and Maria (John-Michael) Chadam of Delray Beach, Fla.; lifelong companion, Cindy Horstman of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
