Peter Kurt Barz, 46, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at his residence. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Teahen Funeral Home.
Peter is survived by his parents, Ron and Eileen; wife, Kris; sons, Tyler and Cody; brother, Steven Barz; mother-in-law, Ann Klever; and
father-in-law, Steve Gaffney.
Peter was born March 29, 1971, the son of Ronald Barz and Eileen Wood, in Lahr, Germany. He graduated from Nanaimo District Secondary School in 1989. In 2002, he married Kristine Klever in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Peter worked for large retail stores.
Peter enjoyed camping, the Montreal Canadiens, Tony Stewart racing and making people laugh. He especially loved being with his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
