Perrin, Helen Irene
Helen Irene Perrin, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday morning, May 8, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Burial will be in Sisley Grove Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids, at a later date.
Helen is survived by her children, Mary E. Jones, David Perrin, Patricia Pierce and Deborah J. “Debi Jo” Whiting, all of Cedar Rapids, and Kelly Homewood and husband Mark of Ely; and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee Perrin; three daughters, Dixie Cejka, Gerri Titus and Cheryl Perrin; granddaughter, Chantel Fields; grandsons, Kent Jones and Mike Perrin; parents, Frank and Edith (Foster) Blozvich; four brothers and two sisters.
Helen was born May 16, 1927, in Brazil, Iowa, and had resided in Cedar Rapids since moving from Mystic, Iowa in 1943. She married Junior Lee Perrin on March 21, 1942, in Unionville, Mo. He died Dec. 26, 1995. Helen was a homemaker and loved to cook and feed her family and friends. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
A memorial fund has been established in Helen's name.
