Pepin, Robert L.
Robert L. Pepin, 94, of Oelwein, died Thursday morning, March 1, 2012, at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters in Oelwein, after a long illness. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with the Rev. Beth Olson officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and for one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. Military Service: 6:30 p.m. Sunday by the Oelwein American Legion Ross Reid Post #9. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
A memorial fund has been established for the Oelwein Veterans Park.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Diane (Edwin) Steffen of Hudson; two sons, Terry (Beverly) Pepin of Oelwein, and Denny (Marcia) Pepin of Oelwein; a daughter-in-law, Marj Pepin of Center Point; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Glaw of Waterloo, and Marian (Elmo) Boone of Woodland, Calif.; a brother, George Pepin of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a brother-in-law, The Rev. Robert Gremmels (Rev. Beth Olson); and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen on Jan. 25, 2001; son, Robert Lee on July 30, 2001; a sister, Dorothy Hoffman; two brothers, Frank and Donald Pepin; and a grandson, Chip.
