Pendarvis, Irene (LeClere)

Irene (LeClere) Pendarvis, 96, of Junction City, Kan., passed away at Chapman Valley Manor on Feb. 27, 2012. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St., Junction City, with Pastor Matthew Glasgow officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been designated to Geary Community Health Care Foundation, P. O. Box 3015, Junction City, KS and/or Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441.

Irene was the second oldest of 10 children born to Fredrick L. and Anna Laura (Schleicher) LeClere.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William, Casper, Raymond, George, Kenneth and Robert; and her sister, Ann Holscher.

Among survivors are her son, James (Jim) Pendarvis of Topeka, Kan.; and her daughter, Nancy Zara of Lee's Summit, Mo.
