Peggy Sue Strait, 59, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on July 2, 2018, at her home. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Peggy Bowers was born Dec. 9, 1958, in Waverly, Iowa, to Laverne and Shirley (Milligan) Bowers. She graduated from Metro High School in Cedar Rapids in 1977.
Peggy is survived by two sons, Josh and Steven Strait of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Cindy Kane and Tammy Courtney; four brothers, Mike, John, Dan and Brian Bowers; four granddaughters, Alexis, Mercedez, Adalyssa and Sevanna; and three grandsons, Simon, Sandler and Jayce.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Peggy enjoyed spending time with the people at Milestones and with her family. She especially loved her cats.
