Peggy Jo Schafer passed on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at her home in Monroe City, Mo. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Peggy was born June 5, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Gerald and Murial Edleman. On June 8, 1968, Peggy married Michael Schafer.
Along with her husband, Mike, Peggy is survived by her daughters, Melissa Jo Schafer of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Sarah Anne Schafer (William Peifer) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Alexandra Renae Ramsey (husband Ryan) of Toms River, N.J., Shelby Jo Bills (husband William) of Grafton, Mass., Chelsea June Ammons (husband Spencer) of Little Elm, Texas, and Delaney Anne Recker (husband Noah) of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Isabel Rose and Savannah Jo Ramsey of Toms River, N.J.; and a brother, Rick Edleman of Waubeek.
Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Edleman.
Peggy had a love of gardening, art and antiques. She truley loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed life immensely.
Peggy was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
