Peggy Jo Schafer, 65, of Monroe City, Mo., died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at her home. There are no services scheduled at this time.
Peggy was born June 5, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald and Murial (Berggren) Edleman. On June 8, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Peggy married Michael Schafer, and he survives of the home.
Along with her husband, Mike, Peggy is survived by her daughters, Melissa Jo Schafer of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Sarah Anne Schafer (William Peifer) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Alexandra Renae Ramsey (Ryan) of Toms River, N.J., Shelby Jo Bills (William) of Grafton, Mass., Chelsea June Ammons (Spencer) of Little Elm, Texas, and Delaney Anne Drenkhahn of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Isabel Rose and Savannah Jo Ramsey of Toms River, N.J.; and brother, Rick Edleman of Waubeek.
Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Edleman.
Peggy had a love of gardening, art and antiques. She truly loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed life immensely.
Peggy was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Yager-Kendrick Funeral Home in Monroe City, Mo.
