Peggy Lou Gartner, 64, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at her residence. Her health has been declining in the past few years.
A private family graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Hopkinton Cemetery. Jones-Eden Funeral home of Washington, Iowa, will be providing end of life arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to Peggy’s family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.
Peggy was born on April 22,1958, to Louis and Sandra (Mettler) Wilson. She was a graduate of Marion High School. After graduating, Peggy worked as a certified nursing assistant and later moved out of state to work as a nanny.
She was united in marriage to Adam Gartner April 7, 1990, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and dog Benji, as well as traveling.
Peggy is survived by her three sisters, Christe Cress, Patti (Steph) Petrak and Ann (Jay) Smith; brother, Matthew Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam; and parents, Louis and Sandra.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be donated to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
