Peggy Jeanne Turner, 83, of Miami, FL, passed away April 3, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Miami, FL. Visitation: 10 to 11 AM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Funeral Service: 11: 00 AM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Peggy was born on September 10, 1940, in Buchanan County, IA, the daughter of Arlie and Imogene (Hoover) Sauer. She graduated from Winthrop Consolidated High School where she played basketball and was a member of the 4H club. She was united in marriage to Ray Turner on June 26, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, IA. Peggy had worked as a typist at Collins Radio and as a receptionist at FIU. She loved baking, sewing, crafting, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peggy was a member of Killian Pines United Methodist Church in Miami, FL.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years Ray Turner of Miami, FL; children Gregory Turner (Heidi) and Brenda Gaudet (David) all of Miami, FL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings Betty Pierce (Robert Mcallister) of Cedar Rapids, Kathryn Welton of Cedar Rapids, and Kent Sauer (Rita) of Marion.
Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings Jerry Sauer, James Sauer, and Carolyn Moore.
