Peggy Ann Hines, 60, of Marion, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2016, in her home. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service:
2 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Private committal service will take place at a later date.
Peggy is survived by her husband, James Edward Hines of Marion; daughters, Holly (Andy) Thayer and Lindsey Hines, all of Cedar Rapids; mother, Vivian Lawrence of Cedar Rapids; father, William Lawrence of Cedar Rapids; and siblings, Perry Lawrence, Jerry Lawrence and Jill Lawrence.
Peggy was born Dec. 23, 1955, in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of William Dean and Vivian Ruth (Blackburn) Lawrence. She graduated from Kennedy High School in 1974. On June 17, 1982, in Tulsa, Okla., she married James Hines. Peggy was a homemaker and she enjoyed art and reading.
