Peggy V. Digmann, 78, of Dyersville, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave. SW, Dyersville, where a vigil service will be held at 2 p.m., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, before the service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Placing of the pall will be done by Janet, Barb, Steve, Judy and Cheryl. Lector is Cookie Scherrman and giftbearers are Christina Watkinson, Sarah Gotto and Lindsey Digmann. Music is provided by St. Francis Xavier Resurrection Choir. Honorary pallbearers are Class of 1957 classmates, Rosie Brunkan, Lorna Peterson, Karen Lammers, Joy Busse, Ruthie Easton, Nancy Miller, Wanda Wegmann and Diane Milz. Pallbearers are Mike and Russ Gotto, Tony Watkinson, Jeremy and Matt Lammers and Mitch, Dakota and Jackson Digmann.
Peg was born Sept. 18, 1939, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Walter "Max" and Althea (Schroeder) Oldham. She married Donald R. Lammers on Aug. 14, 1958, in Colesburg, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Charles "Jim" Digmann on July 27, 1974, in Farley, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Peg enjoyed bowling and golf and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She worked for the Ertl Co. for 36 years. Peg was a member of St. Francis Xavier Basilica.
Survivors include her children, Janet (Gary) Gotto and Barb (Jeff) Watkinson, both of Dyersville, and Steve (Mary Kay) Lammers of Ballwin, Mo.; stepchildren, Sherry (Dave) Grimes of Hazel Green, Wis., Terry Digmann (friend Christin) of Anamosa, Dean (Sherry) Digmann of Marion, Rae Marie (Dan) Popp of Cuba City, Wis., Randy (Lori) Digmann of Baraboo, Wis., Debra Carroll of Platteville, Wis., Patty (Tim) Ginter and Paula (Charles) Donar, both of Cuba City, Wis., Charles Jr. (Jodie) Digmann of Dubuque and Dawne (Melissa) Digmann of Green Bay, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Mike (Christy), Russ and Sarah Gotto, Christina (fiance, Matt Risting) and Tony Watkinson, Jeremy (Christina) and Matt (Nikki) Lammers; sister, Judy (Dave) Niehaus; and in-laws, Cheryl Oldham, Abbie Mormann, Vanita Knipper, Vern (Karen) Lammers, Irvin (Eloise) Lammers, Carol (Les) Simons, Robert (Jean) Digmann, Judy Digmann and Nancy Besler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Donald Lammers and Charles "Jim" Digmann; grandsons, Brian Gotto and Franklin Digmann; stepson, Douglas Digmann; brother, A. Max Oldham; and numerous in-laws.
Memorials may be directed to Above and Beyond Hospice, Beckman Catholic High School or St. Francis Xavier grade school.
