Peggy Ann Denzik, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at her home. A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Stephens Cemetery in Atkins, Iowa.
Peggy was born Dec. 4, 1934, the daughter of Clarence Schlegel and Virginia (Garrison) Trout in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She loved crafts and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Peggy had a great love for animals. She would often spend her time thrift shopping with her friends from Linwood. Peggy was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her two daughters, Terri (Carl) Meiners and Pam (P.J.) Harrington; grandchildren, Crysta (Mike) Doubek, Larry (Holly) Fournier, Rebecca (Eric) Bergman, Angela (Matt) Walters, William (Kit) Meiners and David McCalla; great-grandchildren, Zander, Hailey, Nolan, Olive, Harper and Hayden; mother, Virginia Trout; and sister, Pat Ohlmann.
She was preceded in death by her father; daughter, Denise Campbell; and sister, Rose Lee.
