Peggy was a lifelong resident of Monticello where she was born on Oct. 20, 1950, and graduated from Monticello High School. Peggy began her retail floral and gift business career in 1982 where she took over The Century House Gifts and Flowers. Once Peggy took over, she added fresh flowers to the business and this became her lifelong career for 41 years. During those years, Peggy developed a great love for her customers, her friendships, and her community, which she supported greatly. Her daughter Angie then came on board and it became a family owned and operated business. Peggy was grateful for all her wonderful employees over the years and the support she received from the community.
Surviving are her two children, Brett (Michele) Arduser of Solon and Angie (Mark) Dutra of Monticello; two grandsons, Cole Arduser and Gage Dutra; and her siblings, William (Kathy) Cooper, Pamela Recker and Kevin Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ron; her parents, Dean and Patricia Cooper; in-laws, Paul and Myrtle Arduser; and her brother-in-law, Jack Recker.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to all who have supported them on this journey. We will forever miss Peggy’s loving and positive spirit where she made each of us feel very special.
