Peggy Ann Papesh died peacefully on December 22, 2023 surrounded by her family at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is assisting with the cremation and private burial service.
Peggy was born on May 25, 1952 in Litchfield, Minnesota and married Chuck Wilson on August 3, 1991 in Cedar Rapids. Peggy worked in Finance at Collins Community Credit Union for 30 years and retired in 2009.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Kris Ann Jasper (Glen) of Hiawatha and Charlotte June Binder (Ken Duwa) of Keystone; seven grandchildren, Whitney June Roush, Tyler Roush , Hanna Ann Jasper, Brandon Binder, Morgan Binder, Kane Binder and Eden Binder; siblings, Linda Printup of Minneapolis, Minn., Judy Wensmann of Arizona City, Ariz., Timm Papesh (Nita) of Saint Cloud, Minn., Loretta Sand (Brad) of Saint Cloud, Minn., and Steve Papesh of Oolitic, Ind.; sister-in-law, Sharilyn Papesh of Starbuck, Minn.; brothers-in-law, Mike Wilson (Pat) and Mark Wilson all of Bloomfield, Ind.; as well as many, many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Norma June Papesh and Lawrence “Buster” Papesh; siblings, Ron Papesh, Jeff Papesh and Lorna June Papesh; brothers-in-law, Gary Printup and Ken Wensmann; sister-in-law, Marsha Turriff and nephew, Mark Papesh.
Peggy and her family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at the Oldorf Hospice House and to the many friends and family that provided love and support these past couple months.
As per Peggy’s wishes, there will not be any public services. A Celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Throughout Peggy’s cancer journey, she was touched by the support of the “I Know Jack” Foundation and the Jack Packs (backpacks) they provide to cancer patients. As a final memorial to Peggy’s memory and in lieu of flowers, please go to iknowjack.org and make a donation in Peggy’s name.
