Pease, Helen Carolyn Barron
Helen Carolyn Barron Pease, 97, died of natural causes in Duluth, Minn., on Dec. 4, 2010, the birthday eve of her husband, Clark Pease, who had predeceased her by 28 years.
She was born in Cedar Rapids on March 4, 1913, graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1931 and lived in Cedar Rapids most of her life.
Mrs. Pease is survived by her sister, Anne Camp of Eau Claire, Wis.; four sons, John C. Pease, Thomas D. Pease and Dennis P. Pease, all of Cedar Rapids, and David M. Pease of Walker; three daughters, Toni Pease Fesel of Hillsborough, N.C., Nancy Pease Whitehead, her longtime caregiver in Duluth, Minn., and Janet Pease Jorgensen of St. Charles, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family plans to celebrate the life of Helen Barron Pease this summer with a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, followed by interment of her ashes at the family gravesite in Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
