Pearl was born March, 13, 1922, in Jefferson County, Iowa, to Vince and Mary (Droz) Brown. She married Lloyd "Shorty" Samuelson on April 19, 1942, in Missouri. She found joy in life working and caring for others through her cooking and baking. Being raised on the farm, she learned the importance of work ethics early in life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; parents; two sisters; two brothers; granddaughter, Angie Schmaljohn; and companion of 17 years, Ed Biggart.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Pearl's memory be directed to Hospice at Home of Arizona, 1423 S. Higley Rd., Ste 121, Mesa, AZ 85206.
