The Lord reached out his hand on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, and said "come home" to Pauline Norton. She left her earthy home after 86 years and went to her heavenly home.
At Pauline's request and direction, there will be no services or visitation. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in care of Goettsch Funeral Home and be made to Anamosa Area Ambulance Service.
Surviving are a son, Earl (Robin) Basham, Monticello; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and a daughter, Donna Bowers.
Pauline T. Lombard was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Nantucket Island, Mass., the daughter of Andrew and Emmaline Comecu Lombard. She married Charles Basham in 1952; he preceded her in death in 1977. Pauline was employed at Doer Electric in Anamosa for several years. Pauline married William Norton in 1992; he preceded her in death in 2006.
She had been a resident of the Anamosa Care Center for the past three years.
