Pauline Elaine Newcomb, 77 years of age, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 8, 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids, IA located at 4200 1st Ave. NE. A luncheon will follow at the Radisson Hotel in Cedar Rapids, located at 1200 Collins Rd. NE, for family and friends to gather to celebrate Pauline's life.
Pauline was born on October 28, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of Paul and Reva McClure. She graduated from Regis High School in Cedar Rapids in 1964. Pauline was united in marriage to Lawrence Bruce Newcomb October 29, 1966.
Pauline enjoyed reading books her whole life and had a love for animals. She regularly donated to shelters and animal sanctuaries. She was always a talker and seemed to constantly be on the phone with family and friends. I know those phone calls will be missed. She was always the person you could call and vent to.
Pauline is survived by her niece Linda Everson whom she raised from the age of 2, son Raymond (Tony) Newcomb (Meranda), sisters Patricia Whitlock (Larry) and Lisa McClure. She has multiple nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces, all of whom she loved. Pauline was preceded in death by her son Christopher, her husband Larry, and her parents.
In place of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider donating to support the creating of Pauline's grave marker. A memorial account has been set up at Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust under Linda Everson.
