PAULEEN "DUTCH" RUPE

Pauleen "Dutch" Rupe, 87, of Tipton, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 19, 2015, at Mercy Iowa City. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in Tipton
Masonic Cemetery. A brief visitation will be before the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
A memorial fund has been established in her honor.
Dutch was born July 10, 1927, in Tipton, Iowa, and was the daughter of Wilbur E. and Daisy E. Thede Morden. She was a 1945 graduate of Tipton High School. On March 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Raymond Richard Rupe in Tipton. Dutch worked for the City of Tipton for 18 years as a meter reader.
Dutch loved watching the birds, especially cardinals, and the squirrels. She also enjoyed numerous trips to Sharpless Auctions, flea markets, Goodwill and the casino with family and friends.
Dutch is survived by her two children, Brenda K. Rupe and Earl R. Rupe of Tipton; and her granddaughter, Heather (Jeremy) Sharp of Indianola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Arleen, Helen, Martha, Florence and Dorothy; and brother, Harold Morden.
