Paul Troupe
PAUL TROUPE
11/25/1991 – 11/19/2014
Omaha, Neb.
Born in Omaha, Neb., on Nov. 25, 1991, Paul Thomas Troupe left this Earth and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 19, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Troupe of St. Charles, Mo.; parents, Doug and Sherri Troupe and sister, Katie; grandparents, Tom and Lorraine Troupe of Omaha, Neb., and Luke and Darlyn Schmitt of Waucoma, Iowa; in-laws, Matt, Susie, Megan and Michael Weems of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and their entire family; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Paul graduated from Skutt Catholic High School in May of 2010, excelling in academics and athletics. He graduated magna cum laude from Iowa State University with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He was a member of the Cardinal Key Society, Sigma Gamma Tau Aerospace Society, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Society, Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, AirISU (in which he built an airplane), Salt Company college ministry, and numerous other clubs and organizations.
Paul and Sarah met at Iowa State where, in May of 2014, Sarah also graduated summa cum laude with a degree in aeronautical engineering. They were married on May 24, 2014, two weeks after graduation, and enjoyed a three-week honeymoon traveling throughout Europe. Paul swept Sarah off her feet, and they both meant the world to each other. Paul was a devoted, serving and loving husband, and he always pointed Sarah to their Lord and Savior.
Paul began his career with Boeing in St. Louis, Mo., working in the Research & Technology Division performing aeromechanics and aerodynamics analysis and testing.
Paul was an avid sports fan and dearly loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Denver Broncos, Chicago White Sox, San Antonio Spurs and F.C. Bayern futbol. He and Sarah enjoyed cheering together for their alma mater, the ISU Cyclones.
He was a friend to all and always saw the good in every person. Paul served everyone he met with compassion and love. He was a source of light, happiness and random sports, car and trivia facts in the lives of those who knew him. He lived his life for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ and is walking the streets of gold.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Westside Church, 15050 W. Dodge Rd., Omaha. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Westside Church. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery in Omaha.
Memorials: Cornerstone Church in Ames, Iowa; Iowa State University for an aeronautical engineer scholarship in Paul's name or Skutt Catholic High School for a scholarship fund to be established in Paul's memory.
