Paul M. Stueland, 68, of Tipton, died from dementia complications Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Parkview of Wellman Nursing Home. Public visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Inurnment will be at a
later date.
Memorials, in honor of Paul, may be directed to Hospice Compassus, Iowa City Pathways-Adult Day Health Center and Heritage Area Agency on Aging.

Paul was born June 4, 1947, in Clinton, Iowa, to Henry and Georgia (Brown) Stueland. He graduated from Calamus High School class of 1965 and continued his education at ISU, earning his degree in farm operations. In 1968, Paul joined the U.S. Air Force where he served his country until 1972, with two years being served in Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge at the rank of E4 Sergeant. In 1974, Paul married the love of his life, Bo Buff (Bradley) Stueland, in Calamus, Iowa.
Paul always had a great sense of humor. He loved his Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs – what a year for his favorite teams! Paul also loved dancing and singing.
In addition to his strong faith, devotion to family and friends, Paul thoroughly enjoyed his Angus cattle, cars and being a servant leader in all aspects of life. He was a member of numerous organizations: Angus Cattle – American Angus Association board member (1982-1988), Iowa Angus Association past president and member;
1983 chairman of Cen-tennial National Junior Angus Show, 2006 American Angus Association Historic Angus Herd Award, 2015 Honorary Recipient of Lyle Haring Me-morial Award. Car Dealership – president and owner of Stueland Auto Center partnership with brother, Iowa Auto-mobile Dealer Association past president and board member, 2010 Iowa Time Magazine Dealer of the Year, Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education board. University of Iowa Hawkeye involvements – Davenport Quarterback Club past president and board member, University Iowa Foundation I-Club board member, Iowa National I-Club board member, University of Iowa Car Dealer Program con-tributor. Civic and Community – Tipton Chamber of Commerce president 12 years, Tipton Economic Commission Development board member, Rotary Club member, RAGBRAI 2008 Tipton chairman. Church affiliations – St. Mary's Catholic Church (current), Evangelical Christian Free Lutheran Church foundation member, Faith Lutheran Church, song leader.
Paul is survived by his wife, Bo Buff Stueland, Tipton; son, Matthew (Josephine) Stueland; daughter, Jaquel (Josh Streets) Stueland; sisters, Margo (Steve) Grimm and Nancy (Ernie) Ramige; brother, Mark (Karen) Stueland; grandchildren, Avalahna, Jorja, Delaney and Lawrence; a granddaughter due in February; and mother-in-law, Becky Bradley.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
