Paul, Ruby L.
Ruby L. Paul, 65, of Anamosa, died late Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. William Harnish officiating. Burial: Morrison Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Harold; daughter, Debbie Miller and husband David of Anamosa; grandsons, Levi (Stephanie) Miller and Jacob Miller; great-granddaughter, Madison Ruby Ann Miller, to be born May 7; and brothers, Ray Shelton and wife Mona of Waukon and Roy Shelton and wife Linda of Hopkinton.
She was preceded in death by three children, Harold Henry Paul Jr., Carol Ann Paul and Susan Leota Paul; her parents, Raymond and Velma (Varner) Shelton; and a sister, Rosie Moore.
Ruby was born May 12, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, and was married to Harold H. Paul on June 19, 1965, in Toddville. She and Harold had lived in Cedar Rapids, Marion and Tipton, moving to Anamosa from Marion in 1990. Ruby had been employed as a CNA in care centers before her retirement. She was a Methodist and enjoyed camping, gambling, crocheting and attending family reunions.
Following the services at the cemetery, all are invited to come and enjoy food and karaoke with “Eddertainment”at Deb's Sports Bar, 210 W. Main St., Anamosa, in honor of Ruby.
