Paul Robert Buckley, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025. A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Burial: St. John’s Cemetery immediately following mass. A prayer vigil will take place at 4 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025 at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family 4:30 to 7 p.m.; and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Constance Louise, of Cedar Rapids; his children, Brian and wife Rosa of Murfreesboro, TN, Matthew and wife Christal of Yuma, AZ, Jeffrey and wife Emily of Muscatine, Lindsay and husband Matt Sitter of Marion; and grandchildren, Zachary, Ian, Emma, Isabel, Julia, Nolan, and Abby. Paul is also survived by his brothers, Patrick Buckley and wife Elizabeth, David Buckley and wife Nancy; nieces, Shelby Buckley, Sara (Waj) Arafat, Stephanie (Mark) Reece, and Susan Buckley.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth.
Paul was born February 28, 1951, in Roseville, MI, the son of Thomas Buckley and Elizabeth Buckley. His parents later relocated the family to Cedar Rapids, and he graduated from Regis High School in 1969, and Loras College in 1973. Paul began working in 1976 for the Archer Daniels Midland Company, retiring in 2016.
Paul loved the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He had a love for music, particularly the Beatles, and was an avid reader of history. Paul cherished family time and will be deeply missed.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a charity of their choice.
