Paul L. High, 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep Nov. 11, 2014, in Joplin, Mo. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin.
He was born March 14, 1920, to Earl and Viola High in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he lived before moving to Joplin.
Survivors include his children, Rick High (Cheryl), Gary High (Jan), Linda Curtis, Jackie Lewis (Russell) and Darla Gunderson (Chuck), all of Cedar Rapids, and Gary High (Jan) of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers, Glen and Ralph; sisters, Ruthy and Dorthy; stepchildren, Judy Anderson (Butch) of Coal Valley, Ill., Linda Cordell of Andalusia, Ill., Virginia James (George) of Clio, Iowa, Patty Stechcon (Oly-Craig Olson) of North Liberty, Debbie Watson (Bill) of Cedar Rapids and Jimmy Kirklin (Terri) of Cedar Rapids; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his previous wives, Mary and Doris; brother, Don; sister, Irene; parents, Earl and Viola; daughters, Laurie and Sandy; stepchildren, Jeanie Mulvany and Earl Kirklin; and stepson-in-law, Dan Cordell.
