Paul G. Farnsworth, 92, of Iowa City, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Mercy Iowa City. A visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, where a funeral will be at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors provided.
Memorials in Paul's memory may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Northeast Iowa Council.

Paul George Farnsworth was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Sharon Center, Iowa, son of Reed A. and Anna M. (Klein) Farnsworth. He attended school in Iowa City and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On May 26, 1941, he married Elnora Hansen in Kahoka, Mo. Paul worked in the parts department for over 40 years at a local Ford dealership until his retirement.
In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and seeing the country with Elnora while traveling and camping in their motorhome. He always treasured his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the American Legion, Good Samaritans Club and Johnson County Historical Society.
His family includes his wife, Elnora; daughter, Kathline Neubauer (William) of White Hall, Ark.; son, James Farnsworth (Sandra) of McGregor; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Brahce (Carl) of Canton, Ohio; and stepbrother, Ernest Zeman of Florida.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Frank; and stepbrother, Robert Zeman.
