Paul Edward Pospisil, 83, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Per his request, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 22, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery Section: Garden of Cross.
He was born June 18, 1939, to August and Wilma Jane (Thompson) Pospisil. Paul graduated from high school in Greeley, Iowa, in 1957. He worked at Lefebure Corporation in Cedar Rapids for 34 years and left in 1992 due to health problems. He married Judy Bickel on June 27, 1969. They made their home in Marion, Iowa, and had one son, Brian. Paul enjoyed working outdoors, bald eagles and spoiling their cats, Callie and Abby.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Judy; son, Brian; grandson, Terryk Bellinger; two brothers, Kenneth (Barb) of Marion and Thomas (Vickie) of West Des Moines; and his sister, Christine Laugeness (Olie) of Moorhead, Minn. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Roy and Rose Bickel; and sisters, Karen and Barbara.
