Paul Joseph Duello died suddenly Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at a work site north of Wellman.
He was born July 9, 1967, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Robert Paul and Leita Fern (Cook) Duello. He grew up in Vinton and graduated from Vinton High School in 1986. Paul received his associate degree for animal science from Hawkeye Technical College.
Paul worked at Ledger Hog Farrowing. He moved to Missouri and worked in the hog business, then on to Colorado before buying his farm near Kinross in 1995. Paul worked as an electrician and owned his own business for the past 19 years.
He loved his kids, animals, deer hunting when younger, skydiving and working his farm and playing cards with his friends. He was engaged to Angela Hanchett.
He is survived by his children, Benjamin and Kate, both of Kinross; his parents, Bob and Leita Duello of Brandon; sisters, Bobette Duello of Adel and Barbara (Mike) Kaufman of Dysart; a brother, David Duello of Pine Bluff, Wyo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his fiancee, Angela Hanchett; and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Powell Funeral Home in North English. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. A reception will follow the service at Knoll Ridge Country Club in North English.
In lieu of flowers, a general memorial fund has been established.
