Paul David Dillon, age 72, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on April 19, 2025, surrounded by his friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at 1st Lutheran Church on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM with Pastor Craig Brown officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Paul was born on November 1, 1952, in Wichita, KS. He was the son of the late Paul and Peggy (Penny) Dillon. He attended Wichita State University on a track scholarship with an emphasis on the 1600-meter event. He moved to Cedar Rapids and began working at UPS where he stayed for many years. He married the love of his life, Pastor Kay Slocum. They were together for the 14 best years of Paul’s Life. Pastor Kay passed away in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Pastor Kay Slocum, his parents, and his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
