Paul D. Chiafos, 87, of Marion passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following a courageous battle with lung cancer. In agreement with Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29,
at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Paul will be laid to rest with his mother at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids at a later date.
Paul was born June 24, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Peter and Helen (Herington) Chiafos.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by a host of family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Memorial contributions may be directed in Paul's memory to Meals on Wheels or to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
