Patton, Audrey Jane
Audrey Jane Patton died in her sleep on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012. She was 86.
Audrey Beasley was born to Clara Harnish Beasley and Raymond Beasley in Central City, Iowa, on May 12, 1926. She graduated from high school in Central City and later earned her LPN degree through St. Luke's Hospital.
Audrey's husband of 51 years, James Emery Patton, was lost to a tragic traffic accident in 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Morehouse; sister, Dorothy Stone; brother, Donald Beasley; and an infant sibling.
She is survived by her sister, Irma Shaw; son, Kenneth Ray Patton; daughter, Carolyn Kay Visalpatara; two grandchildren, Matthew Ballantine Patton and Amy Abrams; sister-in-law, Dorothy Patton; nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Audrey was ever sharing with her time and affection, volunteering generously for work with various groups, including St. Luke's Hospital, to whom donations instead of flowers may be made at St. Luke's Health Foundation, 855 A Ave. NE, Suite 105, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3855 Katz Dr., Marion, IA 52302, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Central City.
