Patti Townsend Jeffery, 92, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Quasqueton, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at The Views Senior Living of Marion.
Patti was born July 25, 1933, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Donald R. and R. Dessa (Maggard) Sauer. She was raised in Quasqueton and graduated from Quasqueton High School in 1952. Patti went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Cornell College in 1956.
That same year, on May 26, she married L. Neil Townsend in Quasqueton. After losing her husband Neil in 1998, Patti found new joy when she married Richard Paul Jeffery Jr. in 2005. Their union brought added happiness and companionship to her life.
She is survived by her children: Theresa "Tari" Robertson, LaDonna Jindrich, and Timothy Townsend; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Anita Bowden, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends from all over the United States.
Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and R. Dessa Sauer, her first husband Neil Townsend, her second husband Richard Jeffery Jr., and a son-in-law, David Jindrich.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Quasqueton Union Church in Quasqueton, Iowa. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service. The Reiff Family Center – Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
