PATTI LUBBOCK
Marion
Patti Lubbock, 59, a cherished wife, loving mother, adored grandma and a generous friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in her home on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
She was the wife of Matt Lubbock, recently celebrating 32 years of marriage. The mother of Mikayla Lubbock, Hailey (Peter) Osterc and Dallas (Mallory) Lubbock; the "Best Grandma and Nena" to Houston, Laredo and Tommy; and sister to Ray Derby Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores and Ray Derby; and her sister Carol.
She was a graduate of Alburnett High School where she became lifelong friends with Vickie, Becky and Valerie. Patti and the ladies called themselves the "Fab Four" or "Golden Girls." The ladies regularly met for Iowa games, dinner and many adventures. She graduated from Capri College and was a talented hairstylist.
Patti always kept her door open, welcoming family and friends with love and warmth. During the summer, you could find Patti and her family camping with friends. She and Chris, one of her "partners in crime" could often be found cooking breakfast for everyone at the campground at 3 a.m. or planning pranks that would have everyone laughing.
A small memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Toddville Free Methodist Church. A larger celebration will be held at Matt and Patti's home in Marion. She was a lifelong member of Toddville Free Methodist Church.
