Patterson-Werner, Cari
Cari Patterson-Werner, 46, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Brosh Chapel in Solon with the Rev. Brooke Simpson and the Rev. Bruce Wintern presiding. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel in Solon.
Cari was born May 2, 1966, in Muscatine, the daughter of Clayton and Myrle (Schafer) Patterson. She graduated from Solon High School in 1984 and then attended Kirkwood College. Cari enjoyed ceramics, scrapbooking, listening to country music and attending Bible study at Grace Community Church in North Liberty. Her pride and joy was raising and spending time with her two children, Brady and Calli. She loved attending Brady sporting events and Calli's gymnastics.
Cari is survived by children, Brady, 9, and Calli, 7; her parents, Clayton and Myrle Patterson of Solon; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Cari was preceded in death by aunts, an uncle and her grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
