PATSY "PAT" DAVENE GRIMM

Patsy "Pat" Davene Grimm, 80, of Hiawatha, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at the Oldorf Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with a visitation one hour before the service. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park to follow the service.
Pat was born July 14, 1938, in Troy Mills, Iowa, to LaVern and Lillian (Powers) Shaffer. She was united in marriage to Marshall Samuel Grimm on March 18, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Kenwood Park Church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, sewing, knitting, reading and most of all dearly loved spending time with family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother, Alice Powers.
Left to cherish Pat's memories are her husband, Marshall of Hiawatha; four children, Debby Aubrey of Florida, David (Deb) Grimm of Fergus Falls, Minn., Donna (Chris) Haman of Cedar Rapids and Dennis (Cathy) Grimm of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren, Cara Martin, Leah Fiametti, Mikayla Bell, Angela Brown, Christopher Haman, Krisa Haman, Jason Grimm, Lindsay Rogness, Brian Grimm, Kaitlin Grimm and Laura Grimm; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Nellie Edwards of Phoenix, Ariz.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids or Hall-Perrine Cancer Center in Pat's name.
