PATSY OLTMANN, Anamosa
Patsy Mae Fuller Oltmann was born Jan. 15, 1933, in rural Central City, Iowa, to Emory and Elaine (Miller) Fuller. She died Thursday, April, 24, 2014, at St Luke's Hospice. Patsy graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids. Patsy married Roger W. D. Oltmann on Dec. 10, 1950, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. Over the years, they lived in Langworthy and Anamosa. She is survived by son, Denny (Deb) Oltmann of Central City; daughter, Donna Prat of Cedar Rapids; son, Duane (Melody) Oltmann of LeClaire; 10 grandchildren, Blair and Ivy Lightfoot, Shannon, Anthony and Michael Oltmann, Danya Dye, Angela Lawrence, Matthew and Derek Oltmann and Kristin Kasper; and nine great-grandchildren, Ian, Max, Zoe, Lexis, Jocelyn, Lincoln, Brecken, Kyle and Lucy. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; son, Eric; sister, Shirley Polten; brother, Ray Fuller; and her parents. Patsy was married to Richard Eby in 1991. They divorced in 1994. Patsy was active in Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. She worked at Rockwell and LeFebure, she cooked at Hallmark Nursing Home, Monticello and Anamosa hospitals and at the Abbe Center. She enjoyed being with her family, reading and sewing. Over the years, Patsy made countless quilts, many were distributed by her churches. She sewed nearly 1,000 cases for eye glasses that were distributed by missions in South America, Central America and Africa. In her later years, she was an active member at St Paul's Lutheran Church of Anamosa. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name at: Memorial, 555 Prairie Chapel Rd. Central City, IA 52214. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 28, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Anamosa. Services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Private graveside services.
