PATSY "PAT" GOLDSMITH

Patsy "Pat" Ann Goldsmith, 76, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence with the Rev. Ron Lashmit and the Rev. Matt Schneider-Adams officiating. Visitation will be Friday, July 7, from 4 to
7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial will be in Stanwood Cemetery.
Pat was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, to Velmar and Bernice Poustian Wood. She married Harold Goldsmith on Oct. 11, 1958, at Stanwood Union Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; daughters, Pamela Goldsmith of Mount Vernon and Kathy Capalla (Danny Fortner) of Coatesville, Ind.; grandchildren, Brittany (Jace) Ahrendsen, Michael (Tabitha) Drury and Matthew (Destiny) Capalla; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Victoria, Olivia and Bristol Drury and Mia and Mason Capalla; brother, Dean Wood of Anamosa; and sister, Doris Coiner of Olin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Schroeder.
Pat was a member of Post 286 Ladies Auxiliary in Clarence. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, including taking care of her birds and flowers, and also spending time with her family and playing cards.
