Patrick John "Pat" Richards, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pat was born May 15, 1957, in Port Hueneme, Calif., to Donald and Gloria (Steiner) Richards. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1974 until 1976. He was united in marriage to Kelli Jo Oliver on Jan. 30, 1982, in Cedar Rapids. To this union, three children were born.
Pat previously worked at Weyerhaeuser Company and PMX. He was most recently employed with Pro Tow Towing and Recovery.
Pat loved his dogs. He enjoyed playing poker and pool. He was a Chicago Cubs fan and liked to watch the games, as well as NASCAR races, with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli; children, Andrew (Holly) Richards of Cedar Rapids, Amanda (Andrew) Lutter of Palo and Adam Richards of Cedar Rapids; three grandsons, Myles and Dalton Lutter and Riley Richards; three stepgrandchildren; brother, Mike Richards; sister, Joan (Larry) Harwood of Cedar Rapids; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
