Patrick Kane, 59, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Saint Francis Hospital in Wichita, due to severe sepsis and complications of COVID-19. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Saint John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, followed by a luncheon at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Darwin Kane; his paternal grandparents, George and Julia Ellen Hanson; and maternal grandparents, Michael and Katrina Schaefer.
Patrick leaves behind his wife, Sherill; sons, Michael, Kevin and Christian; daughters, Sarah, Summer, Lexie and Madison; and grandchildren, Ophelia, Hope, Ariella, Mia, Zander and Azrael. He is also survived by his mother, Anna Marie; sister, Jacquie (David); and many other relatives and friends.
